FREEDOM HAS MANY FACES
GOOD MORNING!
Yesterday freedom was shared about words and the power that free expression gives us particularly if they convey beauty.
Another point to ponder.
What holds many of us back?. Life deals sometimes confining and restraining blockages
One person’s idea of FREEDOM can be quite different to anothers.
Stephen Hawkins, 72, Scientist – defies the odds. Totally incapacitated. MS and still living after 52 years with this disease. He was only supposed to live two years!
He has said ‘Science and my brain’s capacity to keep on functioning in trying to grasp new concepts is where my life and ‘freedom’ live’.
A few years ago I met a young wheel-chair bound teacher. She was tragically injured at four years of age. She was the absolute picture of serenity and her smile IGNITED a room.
She reached for my hand (we were at a Convention). ‘Dance with me’ she said. She is
the much loved model for hundreds of children.
The freedom she teaches passionately is the truth of her life. In her imagination and in her understanding – she dances – she has a Hope that one day too she will dance in actuality as a spirit set free.
What holds us back?
Can we SHAKE OFF the past and any baggage? Can we get rid of the might have been and proclaim the joy of the NOW?
Let PEACE and PURPOSE blaze in our hearts.
ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!
Freedom is of the mind yes, but so much more.
Freedom is of the heart and its yearning for ‘better’.
One day broken bodies will be gone and spirits will escape but for NOW.
Let your spirits be free to rise above to write, dream, live, love, – Plant a flower or simply sit and marvel at something beautiful.
S O A R!
Have a great week-end.!
Be energised for the week ahead!
So right. Physical freedom is so important, but some of the most physically free are so bound to other forms of bondage, external such as peer image, and internal, such as guilt. Thankful for freedom in Jesus. The freest thing is to give our bondage (baggage) to Him who makes us free.
