TWO DOGS

Good Morning!

       Friday 3rd July.

  A thought for today.

How great is the power of LOVE?

If it makes a difference in the lives of animals how much greater the saved and New

Life of humans can be.  LOVE – the most powerful force in the universe!

The story of two dogs.

2015 (2) Kel watching a kangaroo.   Kel the Kelpie was rescued by our son.   Drought had ravaged inland properties and they were forced to systematically destroy many of their working dogs because of lack of food.   Kel was the runt of a recently born litter and Kevin our son knew she would be one of the first to go.  He brought her home – she was only eight weeks old and very thin and in poor condition and health.   Lots of love, warmth and care and this frail puppy thrived.   Today she is eight years old and an incredibly loving and loyal companion dog with boundless energy.  She needs to run at least 4 klms twice each day. (She was born to be a working dog).   Full of vitality and although our son no longer lives at home she is with us and the love is strong on both sides. When Kevin comes home she always remembers him as her special person.

2008 Shaggy (4)

Shaggy – the Border collie.   He was rescued by an animal refuge centre who learnt of bad treatment and inadequate care throughout his early months.   We brought him home – he was almost 2 years old – a scared and timid dog.  Shaggy today at 11 is our much loved wonderfully gentle and loyal companion dog who has exceeded all expectations.   What can I say he’s the epitome of LOVE and loyalty.

Power of Love – For humans this power of LOVE transforms lives      and changes circumstances.

  HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Is there someone you can show love towards this day?   Could you transform a life?

About Faye

I m a wife, mother and grandmother. I have always enjoyed writing even from an early age. My book Beyond the Ashes has been written as a labour of love. All the characters are real to me and their story needed to be told. As a Christian my desire is to write General Fiction stories about real people but Hope and a desire for 'better' will always be part of the journey. I have had several short stories published over the years and moderate success in writing competitions. I realized as I was thinking today (30/01/15) that perhaps I should add here that I have had life experiences of many valley times but also many mountain top experiences. I can understand and be beside anyone who finds their life in tatters because I have 'been' there. Of course as I have got older as well there have been the added sorrows of losing not only older family members but also one by one finding the dearest of friends and the ones of greatest support and care also dying. On the site of rich mountains has been my certainty of the value of marriage and how grateful I am that after loss and sadness I made a happy and long-lasting marriage commitment. The one who was my best friend back then is still my best friend 45 years later. Beyond the Ashes touches upon the POWER of LOVE when folk can forget about their own personal 'feelings' and reach out in LOVE to a desperate and broken person.
