HOW CAN WE MAINTAIN AND LIVE A GODLY BALANCED LIFE?

GOOD MORNING!

This weeks meditative journey may take a few days. I hope for us all we have a beautiful, productive and peaceful week.

This image was a Christian Brain-surgeon’s scientifically proven illustration of (like a cake the five sections of a human beings life potential are comprised of pieces which fit together). The supposition was made that if a Divine Source was the central pivot point then all the other sections will fall more naturally into place. However if the central point has a life focus almost obsessional of ONE particular issue the others can get ‘out of whack’.

Let’s begin our journey. SOCIAL

We are created to be social people. That is why we are given both a mating and a family instinct. We need social inter-action. We need each other. ‘No man is an island’. Interaction is vital for a healthy, whole lifestyle. Love God and Love each other. But when a new technology comes – like our world today we have to choose the balance. This social side of our human psyche must not be allowed to take over the rest of our functioning life. (ie switch it off if it intrudes – Turn off mobile phone when not needed – discipline computer and other Social intrusions. One of the greatest deception of the enemy is to keep the followers of Jesus Christ so busy that they have no time to have a SOCIAL connection to HIM.

A thought to ponder on a Monday.

Could it be that if anyone has a need to have 5,000 online friends maybe they are missing the greatest friendship of them all – and don’t or won’t admit it.

I m a wife, mother and grandmother. I have always enjoyed writing even from an early age. My book Beyond the Ashes has been written as a labour of love. All the characters are real to me and their story needed to be told. As a Christian my desire is to write General Fiction stories about real people but Hope and a desire for 'better' will always be part of the journey. I realized as I was thinking today (30/01/15) that perhaps I should add here that I have had life experiences of many valley times but also many mountain top experiences. I can understand and be beside anyone who finds their life in tatters because I have 'been' there. Of course as I have got older as well there have been the added sorrows of losing not only older family members but also one by one finding the dearest of friends and the ones of greatest support and care also dying. On the site of rich mountains has been my certainty of the value of marriage and how grateful I am that after loss and sadness I made a happy and long-lasting marriage commitment. The one who was my best friend back then is still my best friend 45 years later. Beyond the Ashes touches upon the POWER of LOVE when folk can forget about their own personal 'feelings' and reach out in LOVE to a desperate and broken person.

Good post Faye. I have heard it said, the sign of a slave was when one wore a ring on their thumb. Made me think of the “slavery” of the thumbs to texting. Time has not changed, just the task master. Yes, balance… Bondservant to what or who? Good post to think on Faye. d
