Are you using your brain’s FULL potential?

Good Morning!

Today is not simply a new day but when it dawns the 1st September wherever you live – it is a new month – indeed the beginning of a new Season.   Like our lives some of us may be in Spring……….many are surely in fall or Autumn.   It really doesn’t matter – Opportunity abounds to say –I will take this as a  new beginning – once more I will start again.  Praise God!

Today we’ll ponder balancing the MENTAL with the often hectic scramble of modern life.

Brain activity

In a spiritual sense we will not look at whether we are intelligent – naturally an academic achiever etc etc.   Many times it is the naturally brilliant minds that can allow the mental aspects of their humanity to totally dominate and even swamp  the social, the physical, get it all mixed up with the emotional and in the process maybe obliterate the natural ‘spiritual’ yearnings and desires of the wonderful human brain.

Let’s determine to use our minds – Think rationally and clearly if there is a problem.  Separate, for deliberation, and use natural God-given understanding.  Read – dont just get information second-hand.   Research a topic…… (try to challenge your thinking) If you don’t use it……you will lose it.   Never let you mind become fallow because of excess information we are being fed.

Prayerfully ask for WISDOM – His Wisdom

Ponder this answer.   Who has known the mind of the Lord that He may instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.  1 Cor.2 16.   What does that mean? It we had that mind all the time (we’d blow up!)

Balance in ALL THINGS.

As little children we must come to Him with totally surrendered lives and Minds as well.   Let Him in to our reasoning process at all times and even the most difficult decision can become clearer.

Life is indeed a wonderful journey.   Its potentials and wonders are ahead for us all to see.

Have a great day! EXERCISE your brain in the midst of all the other ‘stuff’.

About Faye

I m a wife, mother and grandmother. I have always enjoyed writing even from an early age. My book Beyond the Ashes has been written as a labour of love. All the characters are real to me and their story needed to be told. As a Christian my desire is to write General Fiction stories about real people but Hope and a desire for 'better' will always be part of the journey. I have had several short stories published over the years and moderate success in writing competitions. I realized as I was thinking today (30/01/15) that perhaps I should add here that I have had life experiences of many valley times but also many mountain top experiences. I can understand and be beside anyone who finds their life in tatters because I have 'been' there. Of course as I have got older as well there have been the added sorrows of losing not only older family members but also one by one finding the dearest of friends and the ones of greatest support and care also dying. On the site of rich mountains has been my certainty of the value of marriage and how grateful I am that after loss and sadness I made a happy and long-lasting marriage commitment. The one who was my best friend back then is still my best friend 45 years later. Beyond the Ashes touches upon the POWER of LOVE when folk can forget about their own personal 'feelings' and reach out in LOVE to a desperate and broken person.
