Good Morning.
I wonder if any of you took up the gentle challenge for this week. Personally I received a few surprises in my day when I encountered different aspects of the colour red not simply in the environment but as a prime colour featuring in some quite impacting things both in written form, book covers, pamphlets attention grabbing signage etc.
Let’s together ponder a few of the known spiritual implications of red.
Red – Theologically it has been written …….The Christian Bible from beginning to end. ie Genesis to Revelation is held together by a SCARLET thread of REDEMPTION. God’s Plan for ALL.
Blood is red. (interesting that folk who were once classed as ‘better than others’ were know as blue-bloods.) Blood ………Life…..redemption. is red. RED IS EVERYONE – irrespective of your skin colour, earthly status – one sacrifice for all.(Think on this. One blood sacrifice for ALL HUMANITY.)
Red is FIRE. Pentecost – coming of the Spirit to the Earth.
Red is JUDGMENT – Our God is a consuming fire.(Hebrews)
Red is a Christian symbol for God the Holy Spirit and Sainthood
There are many, many more in spiritual dimensions but it was the ones used and naturally in normal life that continue to amaze me. Birds, animals, reptiles like snakes and insects – spiders. Red clearly shows either……….Take a look at me…. Note me well. or Look Out! I am extremely dangerous.
BUT…..these are obvious ones….I’m going to keep looking this week for the least noticeable and why red is used to make an impact. A red ball with a tiny white light….Fight Cancer Foundation. A small jar of mustard……….White checks to show – purity of ingredients and red dots…….look out the mustard is HOT.
I’d be interested to hear from anyone what they too discover. I even found a small red dot on the sole of my sneakers. (haven’t any explanation for that one).
Not sure why thoughts and revelations are swirling through my life re this but papers have been writing about the phenomenon of RED moons and even in unexpected places something red (clear bright and impacting) may appear.
These are all thoughts to ponder. I’m journeying and really observing this week.
Peace! Enjoy your day!
Yes, Faye, you certainly paying attention to detail this week. Red dot on sneakers! Just read in Joshua a couple days ago about the scarlet thread Rahab dropped from her window so she and her family would be safe when the Israelites came “calling.”
