Who carries the Presence today?

A Meditative thought to ponder this week-end.

The answer is all Christian Believers who are ‘born again’ of God the Holy Spirit.   Christ in us. – the Hope of Glory.

This teaching is not my idea but valuable lessons taught to me from two vastly different sources.   One a Catholic Theologian (he is now an Archbishop) the other from Jerusalem…..A Jewish Born again Christian Believer passionately in love with His Lord.

Mary had to be a virgin.   In her womb the seed of God (Divine) was imbedded.  Her womb then……. like an ark carried that Presence from Heaven to be born on the Earth as her baby – the Christ-child.

He fulfilled His Divine Purpose by being the atoning sacrifice  foretold in the ancient past. the original Ark of the covenant was a the visible sign of an invisible Presence.

Christ’s death (for the sins of humankind) and HIS RESURRECTION (This event was like the collision of two planets – a dramatic moment in time)

Christ told His disciples it was better for them when He went away…..Because He would send God the Holy Spirit….to be with us FOREVER   (ie until the Kingdom comes and Christ returns and reigns supreme

It is the PRESENCE OF CHRIST. (not all the knowledge about Him or all the clichés etc)   HIS HOLY PRESENCE in us must be the Blazing LIGHT of Hope to this world.  For ALL People.

Wake up Church!

Our God is with us.   HIs Presence is in us.

Only ….I might add if we have totally surrendered to Our Lord.  If our love is strong and our desires for our own way are quelled.

As Oswald Chambers put it:    Surrender is not about us at all.  Its about HIM and what He will do to  change and make us and those around us people ready for His coming Kingdom.

Have a wonderful weekend.

                                                               Ponder this.

I still haven’t got a full grasp of it all.   This I do know HIS PRESENCE does profoundly change circumstances.  Many Christian Churches do not have it because the people are all obsessed by doing stuff.

RELAX….Enjoy the fullness of the Christ-Life.!

About Faye

I m a wife, mother and grandmother. I have always enjoyed writing even from an early age. My book Beyond the Ashes has been written as a labour of love. All the characters are real to me and their story needed to be told. As a Christian my desire is to write General Fiction stories about real people but Hope and a desire for 'better' will always be part of the journey. I have had several short stories published over the years and moderate success in writing competitions. I realized as I was thinking today (30/01/15) that perhaps I should add here that I have had life experiences of many valley times but also many mountain top experiences. I can understand and be beside anyone who finds their life in tatters because I have 'been' there. Of course as I have got older as well there have been the added sorrows of losing not only older family members but also one by one finding the dearest of friends and the ones of greatest support and care also dying. On the site of rich mountains has been my certainty of the value of marriage and how grateful I am that after loss and sadness I made a happy and long-lasting marriage commitment. The one who was my best friend back then is still my best friend 45 years later. Beyond the Ashes touches upon the POWER of LOVE when folk can forget about their own personal 'feelings' and reach out in LOVE to a desperate and broken person.

So many think of the statement, “He came to dwell among us” as the Christmas event. That was true but it is so much more. The MORE you are talking about. That knowledge that He is dwelling among us even today. But so many fail to give him time to make himself known.
