Spiritual ANCHOR – restraint or GREATEST freedom?

Good Morning!

Something to think about

Anchor

If you clung to an anchor and jumped into the ranging sea would the weight of that anchor  if not connected to the boat take you immediately to the bottom of the sea?

If a boat is connected to an anchor and keeps the anchor in the boat will the boat then not flounder in the raging seas?

If the anchor however is securely embedded into something firm and solid the chances of that boat surviving a violent gale are considerably greater.

Christians believers are often seen to be ‘restrained’ people – somehow anchored to ‘religion’

John 10:10  The thief (ie satan evil bad stuff) does not come except to steal, and to kill and to destroy .   I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more ABUNDANTLY.

Now, this is real FREEDOM.

In His Presence. living according to His rules we have great freedom.

Presence is not religion.  Presence is all about a PERSON.

Love the Lord Your God with all your heart mind soul and strength and love your neighbour as yourself.

If we love HIM and all our actions, daily life living, writing, sport, music etc etc has that basis we simply could not kill, damage, destroy or maim.  Our words and all actions would be aligned with something purer and more worthy.

The ANCHOR to keep our souls aligned and ‘connected’ to the DIVINE….. is LOVE……DIVINE LOVE.

There are many songs about anchors….. these words resonate as I blog today.

There is an ANCHOR which keeps the soul,

Steadfast and sure as the billows roll.

Secured to the ROCK which cannot move.

I am upheld in the SAVIOUR’s LOVE.

flaming heart

Light up the world both immediate and around you this day.   Bring Hope in darkness and struggle.   Take His Presence with you – He lives IN you as your go. Beam LOVE. a-men.

About Faye

I m a wife, mother and grandmother. I have always enjoyed writing even from an early age. My book Beyond the Ashes has been written as a labour of love. All the characters are real to me and their story needed to be told. As a Christian my desire is to write General Fiction stories about real people but Hope and a desire for 'better' will always be part of the journey. I have had several short stories published over the years and moderate success in writing competitions. I realized as I was thinking today (30/01/15) that perhaps I should add here that I have had life experiences of many valley times but also many mountain top experiences. I can understand and be beside anyone who finds their life in tatters because I have 'been' there. Of course as I have got older as well there have been the added sorrows of losing not only older family members but also one by one finding the dearest of friends and the ones of greatest support and care also dying. On the site of rich mountains has been my certainty of the value of marriage and how grateful I am that after loss and sadness I made a happy and long-lasting marriage commitment. The one who was my best friend back then is still my best friend 45 years later. Beyond the Ashes touches upon the POWER of LOVE when folk can forget about their own personal 'feelings' and reach out in LOVE to a desperate and broken person.
