PERSONAL INTEGRITY – The golden road of responsibility and accountability

Another golden road - Copy (2)

Integrity – ‘an unimpaired condition’.  To be SOUND.

Sadly, we rarely find this in today’s world.  Politicians, churches, banks, financial advisors etc.

The pursuit of ‘status’ money, personal recognition all can be attained at the sacrifice of integrity.

This weekend my thought is this:

What is your personal ‘integrity’?   What do you stand for?  What do people expect from you when they hear your name.  This is personal not from the organisation, place or family situation.  This is about

YOU.

My challenge came when I chose ‘Passionate Creative Christian’ as my blog name.

This is an example of ‘out there’ accountability.

It is a definition of  WHO I CLAIM TO BE.   My ‘integrity’ is exposed.

I am constantly making mistakes.    I certainly am a flawed and often ‘messed’ human being but I must flow in what is my learned Truth.  I know the power of Confession and Forgiveness.   In my life I must be accountable to ONE Person.

He is  the Shepherd Lord of my life.

Not to leaders of nations or even Church but ultimately to HIM.

BUT,

I write, I live, I mess up (often) I grieve, I laugh

BUT I must always KNOW my place of Integrity.

SOMETHING TO THING ABOUT.

What is your Personal Highway?   It surely won’t be the same as mine.

What is the one quality expected when someone thinks of you?

Is INTEGRITY your highest human aspiration?

Take some moments to be ‘revived’ and ‘refreshed’ this weekend.

Be passionate, honest but LIVE! – REALLY LIVE!

About Faye

I m a wife, mother and grandmother. I have always enjoyed writing even from an early age. My book Beyond the Ashes has been written as a labour of love. All the characters are real to me and their story needed to be told. As a Christian my desire is to write General Fiction stories about real people but Hope and a desire for 'better' will always be part of the journey. I have had several short stories published over the years and moderate success in writing competitions. I realized as I was thinking today (30/01/15) that perhaps I should add here that I have had life experiences of many valley times but also many mountain top experiences. I can understand and be beside anyone who finds their life in tatters because I have 'been' there. Of course as I have got older as well there have been the added sorrows of losing not only older family members but also one by one finding the dearest of friends and the ones of greatest support and care also dying. On the site of rich mountains has been my certainty of the value of marriage and how grateful I am that after loss and sadness I made a happy and long-lasting marriage commitment. The one who was my best friend back then is still my best friend 45 years later. Beyond the Ashes touches upon the POWER of LOVE when folk can forget about their own personal 'feelings' and reach out in LOVE to a desperate and broken person.

I would like to live by, “let my “yes” be “yes” and my “no” “no”. Not swaying back and forth like a storm tossed wave. Yes, I make mistakes daily, but through His love, mercy and grace, I know I am loved and forgiven. When I do error, asking for forgiveness, and thanking Jesus for His casting my sin as far as east is from west! Grace:) Firm foundation in Him Who loves me:)
