The Power of Personal Testimony

Good Morning!

A thought for you to really meditate upon.     What experiences in your life are powerful and REAL to you?    I’m not simply talking about the good but often its the journeys through the valleys of difficulty and your own coping with ‘grief’, ‘loss’, etc as well as the mountain tops which can powerfully encourage or challenge the folks around you.

This image is an illustration of the mighty POWER of the sea.

I truly have journeyed in my life through some incredible life experiences – not always as I have said the ‘good’ or the ‘welcomed’.   I can only honestly also speak about the ‘supernatural’ and the place of the Divine in it all if I could not through powerful personal life testimony have truly KNOWN it.

For today lets all simply think about the power of personal testimony and the impact it can and will have in the lives of others.

Have a great day!  Journey on and be a light for someone else.

About Faye

I m a wife, mother and grandmother. I have always enjoyed writing even from an early age. My book Beyond the Ashes has been written as a labour of love. All the characters are real to me and their story needed to be told. As a Christian my desire is to write General Fiction stories about real people but Hope and a desire for 'better' will always be part of the journey. I have had several short stories published over the years and moderate success in writing competitions. I realized as I was thinking today (30/01/15) that perhaps I should add here that I have had life experiences of many valley times but also many mountain top experiences. I can understand and be beside anyone who finds their life in tatters because I have 'been' there. Of course as I have got older as well there have been the added sorrows of losing not only older family members but also one by one finding the dearest of friends and the ones of greatest support and care also dying. On the site of rich mountains has been my certainty of the value of marriage and how grateful I am that after loss and sadness I made a happy and long-lasting marriage commitment. The one who was my best friend back then is still my best friend 45 years later. Beyond the Ashes touches upon the POWER of LOVE when folk can forget about their own personal 'feelings' and reach out in LOVE to a desperate and broken person.

The potential effect of testimony on others gives me no room to be intimidated in sharing, and also reminds me of the responsibility I have to allow the Holy Spirit to interpret life events in His light. Thanks for the encouragement.

I have had many journey’s in my life. I can truly say that I am grateful for the experience. It has taught me about myself in ways that I would not have known had I not been tested. I’m still praying, I still believe in good. I am blessed by the challenges that I have been given. Just to name a few, I was in a serious car accident (traumatic brain injury, i.e. coma) paralyzed on my left side, couldn’t see for about 2 months and I was only 21 and was a young married. Poor husband went through much (we are still married 37 years later) ❤ We lost our 2nd son to a birth defect when I was 7 months pregnant, Sean Patrick (my angel) and I went on to have 2 more boys and a girl. We already had 1 son when we lost Sean. That experience I like to think really made me a great mom ❤ I do feel blessed by God for the challenges he got me through ❤ Blessings ❤

Faye, thank you for the encouragement to tell our personal testimonies. I’ve been feeling intimidated about my “‘Tween God and Me” posts. Because of this post of yours I am adding another one today. Thanks.
