Good Morning!

A beautiful (in meaningful ways) weekend to all

Freedom without responsibility is not ‘real’ freedom at all.   It is SELF-focussed’ humanism.   It’s my life I can DO whatever makes me happy. Perhaps for a time it appears to work.  When all the doing is over and this concept of freedom evaporates what is left?

Often despair and hopelessness.  (Perfect examples are people driven to succeed in sport, films, all sorts of creative endeavours whose whole FOCUS in life is upon their personal achievements.)

A simple meditation this weekend.   Like the child on the swing who has a soaring freedom yet must rely on the swing to support her and the integrity of the person making sure she does  not fly (off and into………??).

How can we be FREE yet responsible?

LOVE ……..Human possibilities.

Love for the people around determining  all actions. Natural.

Spiritual freedom – not confined to anyone else’s restrictions.     ? DIVINE LOVE …..Undergirds and guards this soaring.

For Christian Believers ‘Set my spirit free – so I can worship YOU’  is indicative of a freedom that indeed soars beyond all earthly restrains.

The safety guard and guide is LOVE.

Love is responsibility.

How free can we be this weekend within the bounds of responsibility to SOAR?

Shine a strong Light of Love on someone this day.

About Faye

I m a wife, mother and grandmother. I have always enjoyed writing even from an early age. My book Beyond the Ashes has been written as a labour of love. All the characters are real to me and their story needed to be told. As a Christian my desire is to write General Fiction stories about real people but Hope and a desire for 'better' will always be part of the journey. I have had several short stories published over the years and moderate success in writing competitions. I realized as I was thinking today (30/01/15) that perhaps I should add here that I have had life experiences of many valley times but also many mountain top experiences. I can understand and be beside anyone who finds their life in tatters because I have 'been' there. Of course as I have got older as well there have been the added sorrows of losing not only older family members but also one by one finding the dearest of friends and the ones of greatest support and care also dying. On the site of rich mountains has been my certainty of the value of marriage and how grateful I am that after loss and sadness I made a happy and long-lasting marriage commitment. The one who was my best friend back then is still my best friend 45 years later. Beyond the Ashes touches upon the POWER of LOVE when folk can forget about their own personal 'feelings' and reach out in LOVE to a desperate and broken person.

Beautiful words as always Faye! I’ve always thought freedom was to be free from responsibility, but you’ve made an important point here. Like all things in the world, it leaves us empty, and most times worse off than before. Thanks for sharing ^_^
