Forced Direction change. What can happen?

Good Morning!

This is posted as a Thought for us to Ponder.   On a day to day consideration or in a wider life circumstance……stuff happens!  How do we react or how should we react? How can we choose to react?

I certainly have not learned the lesson properly yet.    When you have a signpost – you have a chance to prepare..   But, life is not always signposted.  The day you had planned.  just a normal day blown to pieces  by intrusions, breakdowns of technology and more important family matters etc.   Gentle direction changes throw me as much as the major.

I have learned to STOP! (Personally I breathe and pray) BUT when you first find you are foiled and prevented from doing the ONE thing you thought you would do when you got out of bed…………It takes a lot of choosing to prevent frustration from ruling.

I read the following quote when I was in such a swirl yesterday.   (I could not access the internet – no major deal at all I certainly had to do ‘something else’) and indeed did a whole lot of other things.    This simple quote I share to encourage.

In life the only treasures which you carry……..are the treasures which you carry in your heart.      Demophilus.

We must guard our hearts against ‘irritations’.   We must choose LOVE over hostility and unrestrained agro.

Forced to change direction today?  May we all choose to bring encouragement even on the new unplanned pathway.

Be LIGHT in someone’s darkness.

About Faye

I m a wife, mother and grandmother. I have always enjoyed writing even from an early age. My book Beyond the Ashes has been written as a labour of love. All the characters are real to me and their story needed to be told. As a Christian my desire is to write General Fiction stories about real people but Hope and a desire for 'better' will always be part of the journey. I have had several short stories published over the years and moderate success in writing competitions. I realized as I was thinking today (30/01/15) that perhaps I should add here that I have had life experiences of many valley times but also many mountain top experiences. I can understand and be beside anyone who finds their life in tatters because I have 'been' there. Of course as I have got older as well there have been the added sorrows of losing not only older family members but also one by one finding the dearest of friends and the ones of greatest support and care also dying. On the site of rich mountains has been my certainty of the value of marriage and how grateful I am that after loss and sadness I made a happy and long-lasting marriage commitment. The one who was my best friend back then is still my best friend 45 years later. Beyond the Ashes touches upon the POWER of LOVE when folk can forget about their own personal 'feelings' and reach out in LOVE to a desperate and broken person.

“Just breathe….” I find myself saying in these similar situations of frustration. That gentle pause centers me back to the place of remembering I may have certain desires for my day, but God’s desire burns brighter & always leads me toward a better path. How many things may I have missed along the way had He not taken me down a “brighter” path! Hugs!
