Good Morning……Sunday 10th December, 2016
Today as part of my private worship and prayers I will light the third candle as we approach another remembrance of the Birth of Jesus Christ.

I light the JOY candle. I will illuminate this one from the light of first the Hope candle and then the Peace candle. It is a truth reality that from Hope and Peace powerfully working in a human life that JOY comes. Not happiness but the inner JOY that nothing on this earth can take away. It is the mighty bubble that invades even the darkest place. When despair tries to take over the JOY that is fuelled by Hope and Peace, this hidden force combined…. changes circumstances. Together Hope, Peace and Joy will stand as a bulwark of Strength against darkness in any form or shape. …That’s why we wait in anticipation for the Divine LIGHT…….The ONE who is to come……….THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD!
It is the greatest honour we can bring to life to live gladly and with joy in the certain knowledge that we have His Divine Love.
Julian of Norwich.
Have a wonderful weekend. Make this week better for someone else by not letting the rush and turmoil of the Season rob you of your JOY. Share it around. Bless the world!

About Faye
I m a wife, mother and grandmother. I have always enjoyed writing even from an early age. My book Beyond the Ashes has been written as a labour of love. All the characters are real to me and their story needed to be told. As a Christian my desire is to write General Fiction stories about real people but Hope and a desire for 'better' will always be part of the journey. I have had several short stories published over the years and moderate success in writing competitions.
I realized as I was thinking today (30/01/15) that perhaps I should add here that I have had life experiences of many valley times but also many mountain top experiences. I can understand and be beside anyone who finds their life in tatters because I have 'been' there. Of course as I have got older as well there have been the added sorrows of losing not only older family members but also one by one finding the dearest of friends and the ones of greatest support and care also dying. On the site of rich mountains has been my certainty of the value of marriage and how grateful I am that after loss and sadness I made a happy and long-lasting marriage commitment. The one who was my best friend back then is still my best friend 45 years later. Beyond the Ashes touches upon the POWER of LOVE when folk can forget about their own personal 'feelings' and reach out in LOVE to a desperate and broken person.
Beautiful piece as always Faye! This reminds me of a sermon we had a few months past on the difference between happiness and joy. I loved the fact that you mentioned the inner Joy, because you’re right, nothing can take that away from us. Have a great week!

It is true that Joy is sparked by Hope. Joy seems to be impossible to achieve without Hope.
