Fairy Rings?…Dramatic change in weather.

1

     Good Morning.

Something to think about mid-week

After a few days away, I came home to find on the hillside behind our house, we had a massive circle of mushrooms.   This circle continued down the slope and joined up again behind the fallen tree shown in this photo.

We have never had this phenomena on our property before.   The circle was 20 metres in diameter.

Apparently called a Fairy Ring (Google enquiry) it is seen in many parts of the world.  Often the mushrooms are of the finest culinary variety.   I did not investigate this aspect…I know only toadstools.   I had intended to ‘check this out’ as I love mushrooms.

According to legend and for those who are superstitious these rings are symbols of good fortune,  A sign of favour as well as an indicator of dramatic change.

Today the circle has been flattened by heavy overnight rain.   A severe cyclone many hundreds of miles north of us here has caused considerable damage to our beautiful off-shore islands and beaches etc. For us overnight it simply POURED. Massive water everywhere.  Full dams and now all around is verdant green.

I view the world as full of dramatic change.    It seems to be happening all around us.

BUT.

For those who have faith I still can affirm my belief we must keep LOOKING UPWARD.

Let’s findRed-Rose-by-Donnevan-vectorjunky beauty around us and share and live in it.   Let’s take our guidance from the Word and live with joyful expectancy to tomorrow.

Make a difference TODAY .   See or do something BEAUTIFUL.

LIVE EXTRAVAGANTLY !     Bless someone else on the way. !

About Faye

I m a wife, mother and grandmother. I have always enjoyed writing even from an early age. My book Beyond the Ashes has been written as a labour of love. All the characters are real to me and their story needed to be told. As a Christian my desire is to write General Fiction stories about real people but Hope and a desire for 'better' will always be part of the journey. I have had several short stories published over the years and moderate success in writing competitions. I realized as I was thinking today (30/01/15) that perhaps I should add here that I have had life experiences of many valley times but also many mountain top experiences. I can understand and be beside anyone who finds their life in tatters because I have 'been' there. Of course as I have got older as well there have been the added sorrows of losing not only older family members but also one by one finding the dearest of friends and the ones of greatest support and care also dying. On the site of rich mountains has been my certainty of the value of marriage and how grateful I am that after loss and sadness I made a happy and long-lasting marriage commitment. The one who was my best friend back then is still my best friend 45 years later. Beyond the Ashes touches upon the POWER of LOVE when folk can forget about their own personal 'feelings' and reach out in LOVE to a desperate and broken person.
