Informed BUT Choosing FOCUS

Good Morning!

These are mid-week thoughts to ponder.

We need to be Informed.    We cannot live a life where we can hide our heads and not acknowledge the constant barrage of disquieting things happening in ALL  areas of  life but we do have the clear choice to be (INFORMED BUT NOT OVERLOADED).

We need to be able to sift what is media ‘over-kill’ of any event. CHOOSE what is necessary information and then take to others the gift of something ‘BETTER’.

Bring to others from the rich container of your own personal stored chosen Focus………..   Gifts of BEAUTY, JOY and HOPE.

Make a difference!  Do not add to the sorrows.

Keep in your container all the beauty you have seen, experienced, and all the joy.  All The HOPE.    Keep drawing from it……. keep distributing it.

For yourself – make sure you keep a daily focus (in spite of surrounding sorrows etc) an item, a memory to enrich your life but to put in the storage to later spread to others.

What can you put in your container today?

To be a joy-bearer and a joy-giver says everything about your own life.   If one shares this from our life resources it means that the person is not simply living for themselves but has chosen to keep focussing higher.  Joy without and Joy within.   All is well .

Exert from Janet Erskine Stuart.

Today, I am looking for one simple and beautiful image I can store in my container.

Have a great day!   Travel well in the rest of this week.   Keep looking up towards a patch of blue even in cloudy skies and LIVE HAPPILY AND WELL.

CHOOSE JOY!

About Faye

I m a wife, mother and grandmother. I have always enjoyed writing even from an early age. My book Beyond the Ashes has been written as a labour of love. All the characters are real to me and their story needed to be told. As a Christian my desire is to write General Fiction stories about real people but Hope and a desire for 'better' will always be part of the journey. I have had several short stories published over the years and moderate success in writing competitions. I realized as I was thinking today (30/01/15) that perhaps I should add here that I have had life experiences of many valley times but also many mountain top experiences. I can understand and be beside anyone who finds their life in tatters because I have 'been' there. Of course as I have got older as well there have been the added sorrows of losing not only older family members but also one by one finding the dearest of friends and the ones of greatest support and care also dying. On the site of rich mountains has been my certainty of the value of marriage and how grateful I am that after loss and sadness I made a happy and long-lasting marriage commitment. The one who was my best friend back then is still my best friend 45 years later. Beyond the Ashes touches upon the POWER of LOVE when folk can forget about their own personal 'feelings' and reach out in LOVE to a desperate and broken person.

Hello Faye!! Excellent post!! Love the black pottery photo too! Yes, if it is not encouragement or edifying, I really try to stop my mouth and not add to the over abundance of negative in the world. Good to read your post and visit. Busy enjoying Senior Graduation activities as we prepare for son’s HS Graduation on the 14th. Blessings!
