Child-like Innocent Wonder

Good Morning!

Today, as we are in the middle phase of the last full week before we come to the Christmas gatherings with family and often too a spiral of ‘things’ happening both the beautiful and often ‘stressful’……..this is my MEDITATION.

Can we make a choice in 2018 to approach this Season ‘like a little child’?

With a fresh innocent approach to all the things happening and all that we may know through the years but…………begin again and like a little child….look, listen.

Maybe we too, if we honestly retreat from any HYPE, can rediscover what the simplicity of this Season was meant to be. It is at the HEART a remembrance of a birthday. And, a child views any birthday as an event.

May we approach this Birthday Remembrance without the knowledge of our years but with the hushed expectancy of a birthday through a child’s eyes.

This birthday has the unseen mystery of what childhood is all about. Nothing absolutely nothing is impossible. May we too be SURPRISED by unnatural PEACE, PRESENCE and BEAUTY. Not in material things but in the wonder of childhood in the unseen spiritual realm. Maybe indeed Angels will be seen. Across the world maybe, just maybe, stories will emerge.

This is the child-like joy of Christmas approaching……….ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!

Indeed for all who have accepted the Gift of the Christ-child. All possibilities are still there. Come as a little Child!

Meditate, Pray, Keep your heart, life and expectations as innocent as a child’s.

I m a wife, mother and grandmother. I have always enjoyed writing even from an early age. My book Beyond the Ashes has been written as a labour of love. All the characters are real to me and their story needed to be told. As a Christian my desire is to write General Fiction stories about real people but Hope and a desire for 'better' will always be part of the journey. I realized as I was thinking today (30/01/15) that perhaps I should add here that I have had life experiences of many valley times but also many mountain top experiences. I can understand and be beside anyone who finds their life in tatters because I have 'been' there. Of course as I have got older as well there have been the added sorrows of losing not only older family members but also one by one finding the dearest of friends and the ones of greatest support and care also dying. On the site of rich mountains has been my certainty of the value of marriage and how grateful I am that after loss and sadness I made a happy and long-lasting marriage commitment. The one who was my best friend back then is still my best friend 45 years later. Beyond the Ashes touches upon the POWER of LOVE when folk can forget about their own personal 'feelings' and reach out in LOVE to a desperate and broken person.

“Come as a little child”….. I love this Faye and do hope I can keep this foremost in my heart not only during the Christmas Season but throughout the coming of a New Year.
