A Mid-week Thought
During our afternoon walk in the forestry, Char-lee suddenly sniffed the air. She stopped, then swivelled to position herself. Her body was anchored facing the distant car. Her attitude told me clearly it was ‘time to go home’.
I unclipped her lead and told her she could ‘go!’.
She ran into the waiting arms of David who put her in the car.
A sudden savage gust of wind blew across the paddocks and a rain shower in minutes drenched everything.
As I walked, quickly now, I remembered two dear friends from the past. Both of them died reasonably young. Both had strong faith and both in their last days said to family and friends. ‘I’m going home!’
My thought for pondering for us today is this:
When we are ‘released’ from this mortal life, do we KNOW we are going HOME?
Do we believe that loving arms are waiting to welcome us too?
1 Cor. 1:18
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God
We who believe and follow the Saviour, have this certain HOPE.
Blessings and Love to all this day.
