THE PALM FROND JOURNEY

living fronds.

The remembrance of this life journey taken so long ago can take on special significance in 2020.    Let it minister to our hearts, our souls and our spirits.  Prayerfully as we journey with the needs of ‘others’ through this extraordinary story which  significantly changed our world, may  it  give us all renewed  comfort and ability to STAND unflinchingly for our Saviour.

The palm was a symbol long before the days of Christ.   Historically from the ancient past, other religions, other cultures, placed a significance on this humble plant.

The Macedonians believed it was a symbol of Victory, Triumph, Peace and Eternal Life.      Even back then it was given a kind of sacred status.

Then one day it is recorded in the Bible, a Jewish man rode  down a dusty road and the palm fronds strewn before Him, began the story of a soul-challenging, tragic, inspiring week and the story is never ending because it was  His sacrificial death that made the way for all humankind to come to God in relationship with HIM.

THE RESURRECTION and later the coming of God the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, (This Holy God is now alive with us and in us.)

This opened the doorway for all the Promises of the FULFILLMENT of the Palm Frond journey.

VICTORY over SIN, TRIUMPH, PEACE. (even conquering over sickness, mortality and death.)

ETERNAL LIFE is the Hosanna!  Promise at  the heart of this week.

HOSANNA!      HOSANNA!    Save us!

HE HAS DONE IT!

While we prayerfully journey through the sorrows, particularly this present year,  we look with faith and Hope towards  the dawning of the VICTORY MORNING.

Even more this Easter than ever before let us REMEMBER and look with HOPE to the still to come PROMISE that this Saviour will return in the greatest TRIUMPH…..as KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS!

Blessings and Love to all!.

About Faye

I m a wife, mother and grandmother. I have always enjoyed writing even from an early age. My book Beyond the Ashes has been written as a labour of love. All the characters are real to me and their story needed to be told. As a Christian my desire is to write General Fiction stories about real people but Hope and a desire for 'better' will always be part of the journey. I have had several short stories published over the years and moderate success in writing competitions. I realized as I was thinking today (30/01/15) that perhaps I should add here that I have had life experiences of many valley times but also many mountain top experiences. I can understand and be beside anyone who finds their life in tatters because I have 'been' there. Of course as I have got older as well there have been the added sorrows of losing not only older family members but also one by one finding the dearest of friends and the ones of greatest support and care also dying. On the site of rich mountains has been my certainty of the value of marriage and how grateful I am that after loss and sadness I made a happy and long-lasting marriage commitment. The one who was my best friend back then is still my best friend 45 years later. Beyond the Ashes touches upon the POWER of LOVE when folk can forget about their own personal 'feelings' and reach out in LOVE to a desperate and broken person.

Beautifully written, Faye. Indeed – once & for ALL – He takes away the sins of the World. Christ is Risen! Alleluia!
Hugs to you this Easter Season my dear friend.
