The paddocks were devastated by drought and bushfire. The heart-broken man walked his lifeless property. All his cattle had perished. His wife and children had relocated to the city. He wondered if they could ever rebuild the remnants of their lives. He looked up into the cloudless blindingly blue sky.
Suddenly a bird flew across. It was whistling. Almost like it serenaded the day.
It did not linger but flew back to the small cluster of trees in the far, far distance.
As it flew overhead, a single white feather floated down and settled on the brown, scarred earth.
The words I will make everything beautiful again in its time. came into his mind.
He picked up the feather, put it in his pocket.
One day in the library he laminated it and placed it in his bible.
This precious bible and its bookmark remains throughout all the current sorrows and crises as an enduring reminder.
It marks the ancient reflection written in eccs.3 v 11.God has made everything beautiful in its time.
The Promises of Jesus in our day are restoration and healing. In HIM now indeed all things will ONE day be everlastingly beautiful.
It became Jack’s TRUTH.
It is ours too!
Blessings! You are loved!
