Achievable Goals

Dancing on the clouds is certainly not an achievable goal in your natural day.

Good Morning!

I’m thinking about the importance of having your own goal for every day.

Your goal and my goal will be different. I believe God wants us to rise each and every morning with gratitude, for a new beginning, and choose a simple and an achievable goal.

Most days my personal goals are not important in the eyes of anyone else but life affirming on my own journey.

Last week my goal was very simple, I have a huge beaded picture with thousands of beads. I determined to place just 10 in their correct position. It was not the only thing I did that day but that one clear goal achieved something that improved the big picture. (I actually completed an entire section.)

let’s all goal something today. I know where I have to go and what I have to do but one goal I will take on my way is the little image of someone dancing on the clouds.

Today, I have things I have to do. One goal I am taking with me is the mental image of the person dancing on the clouds. Perhaps, Just perhaps this simple thing may help my smile for someone else be a little BRIGHTER. Just perhaps!

Have a great day. May you find an achievable goal and LIVE ABUNDANTLY.

About Faye

I m a wife, mother and grandmother. I have always enjoyed writing even from an early age. My book Beyond the Ashes has been written as a labour of love. All the characters are real to me and their story needed to be told. As a Christian my desire is to write General Fiction stories about real people but Hope and a desire for 'better' will always be part of the journey. I have had several short stories published over the years and moderate success in writing competitions. I realized as I was thinking today (30/01/15) that perhaps I should add here that I have had life experiences of many valley times but also many mountain top experiences. I can understand and be beside anyone who finds their life in tatters because I have 'been' there. Of course as I have got older as well there have been the added sorrows of losing not only older family members but also one by one finding the dearest of friends and the ones of greatest support and care also dying. On the site of rich mountains has been my certainty of the value of marriage and how grateful I am that after loss and sadness I made a happy and long-lasting marriage commitment. The one who was my best friend back then is still my best friend 45 years later. Beyond the Ashes touches upon the POWER of LOVE when folk can forget about their own personal 'feelings' and reach out in LOVE to a desperate and broken person.

This is a beautiful challenge for us all, Faye! Sometimes I can get over-whelmed with the enormity of “what needs done in a day,” but your encouragement to chose one goal a day is so cathartic.
Thank you for the wonderful inspiration. 💕
