A QUESTION – FOCUS

I asked the Lord what I should blog on this Wednesday.

He answered me and I found my biblical answer came a different way.

Yesterday, I asked the Lord a question.

I love to be a blogger, to write and connect with others.   This began by giving the blog a name I knew I had to live up to.   Passionate Creative Christian.

My hope was that it would be light and encouraging.    Biblically sound but not a teaching blog. I love to read all the blogs which inform and teach.

I LOVE all blogs about LIFE In fulness.

I made a commitment to write a blog on Wednesdays and Sundays.

Yesterday, I asked the Lord a question. ‘Father, Much is swirling….so much to comment upon or to write about.      What Do You want?  for the Wednesday. Blog.

I believe His answer came later as I was sitting quietly outside.

                 Focus on Beauty.

I was happy. Beauty around me abounds. But when I tried to find a specific biblical quote to support..  FOCUS ON BEAUTY…..I was disappointed.

I did a Google search.  It was here I was shocked!   Pages and pages of stuff.  How to become beautiful.   Body pumping for men…pages and pages and for women Botox, beauty creams and never-ending self-help from experts world-wide …………ALL SELF FOCUSSED BEAUTY. Everything indeed about ME! ME! ME!

Thank God I found an almost hidden entry.   It said. ‘Do you want a different focus?       This is how to find it

2 Cor 4;18 We do not focus on what is seen but on what is unseen.

I then later found the image I used above.      In His Presence is beauty.  He is to be Focus No.1 Then all the beauty of this world is for us to enjoy.  Art, Music, Story Writing, painting, photography All things beautiful and lovely.  BUT FOCUS ON HIM FIRST.

This IS one of the pictures of our beautiful world I thought was to be my theme.

welcoming the day.

Have a stunning GOD DAY as you Live abundantly in and for HIM.

About Faye

I m a wife, mother and grandmother. I have always enjoyed writing even from an early age. My book Beyond the Ashes has been written as a labour of love. All the characters are real to me and their story needed to be told. As a Christian my desire is to write General Fiction stories about real people but Hope and a desire for 'better' will always be part of the journey. I have had several short stories published over the years and moderate success in writing competitions. I realized as I was thinking today (30/01/15) that perhaps I should add here that I have had life experiences of many valley times but also many mountain top experiences. I can understand and be beside anyone who finds their life in tatters because I have 'been' there. Of course as I have got older as well there have been the added sorrows of losing not only older family members but also one by one finding the dearest of friends and the ones of greatest support and care also dying. On the site of rich mountains has been my certainty of the value of marriage and how grateful I am that after loss and sadness I made a happy and long-lasting marriage commitment. The one who was my best friend back then is still my best friend 45 years later. Beyond the Ashes touches upon the POWER of LOVE when folk can forget about their own personal 'feelings' and reach out in LOVE to a desperate and broken person.
