This quotation is attributed to Eleanor Roosevelt.
In Shakespeare’s Play Julius Caesar the remembered quote is ‘The evil that men do lives after them while the good is oft interred in their bones’
My challenge for all of us to reflect on today is this.
What mark will we leave behind? Will we be remembered for LOVE?
Will we be remembered for our Faith in the Good Shepherd who saved our souls?
Will we leave a mark behind that someone can aspire to. – Something Beautiful. Good and eternally valuable?
We don’t need to be a successful anything as this world would regard SUCCESS, but is our mark ‘he/she loved, encouraged, cared, looked out beyond self maybe only with a smile a word of encouragement or hug or small gift.’
On bad days being remembered as a grumpy old lady would be very possible. Thank God for His Divine LOVE.
Repentance ongoing to Him has, through necessity, become my norm.
When I leave this world my prayer is that the mark I leave will be All ABOUT HIM and little or nothing about my personal life and DOINGS. (unless LOVE and His Presence is in it ALL.)
What Mark will you leave?
This image is to remind us of the importance of FOCUS do we see and share with others beauty? Or do we highlight in our looking what is broken? Beautiful indeed is the blue water.
Blessings and Love to you this day.
