EXIT Christmas and New Year Celebrations 22/23

THE PAST where rich memories are stored.

Today the PRESENT is to be valued and ,,,..lived

The FUTURE,,,,,,,,,,,,next exit………is….. full of HOPE

CHRISTMAS 2022.

This Christmas I found two angels that brought joy and tears to our simple and beautiful Christmas tree decorations.

The first angel was made by our daughter 45+ years ago when she was small.   She dressed a wooden clothes peg in a paper napkin with a hole for the neck and pasted on coloured wings.    She drew a face with dots for eyes and nose and painted a smiling mouth with red paint .  It attached perfectly to the thin tree branch.

For many years this angel had been buried with the second angel in a forgotten Christmas box of tinsel,

The second angel had been made by our granddaughter who was saddened by my mislaid treetop golden angel she had loved.

She made a bright pink one beautifully decorated with tinsel and pretty silver wings glued to a  cardboard cylinder. She gave it to me   but was glad when I found my usual one the next year.  She told me she thought the one she made looked tacky..

I valued it because I knew it had been a gift of LOVE ,

These angels turned up this Christmas and found prominence by being attached to a tiny red tinsel tree found in the missing box with them.   This tiny tree was under our main tree for this Christmas period and now are a part of  all the memories packed away with the decorations.

The PAST  rich memories are stored.

Today, the PRESENT is to be valued and lived.

The FUTURE is the next exit full of HOPE.

The future is unknown but when you KNOW Jesus Christ as your SAVIOUR and the one ETERNAL CONSTANT  on your journey , .you  also  KNOW He is the WAY  and you will continue to follow HIM. He leads by WORD and a still small voice.  HOPE IS HIS rallying cry as we exit the past and prepare for the FUTURE.

Blessings and Love to you all.

About Faye

I m a wife, mother and grandmother. I have always enjoyed writing even from an early age. My book Beyond the Ashes has been written as a labour of love. All the characters are real to me and their story needed to be told. As a Christian my desire is to write General Fiction stories about real people but Hope and a desire for 'better' will always be part of the journey. I have had several short stories published over the years and moderate success in writing competitions. I realized as I was thinking today (30/01/15) that perhaps I should add here that I have had life experiences of many valley times but also many mountain top experiences. I can understand and be beside anyone who finds their life in tatters because I have 'been' there. Of course as I have got older as well there have been the added sorrows of losing not only older family members but also one by one finding the dearest of friends and the ones of greatest support and care also dying. On the site of rich mountains has been my certainty of the value of marriage and how grateful I am that after loss and sadness I made a happy and long-lasting marriage commitment. The one who was my best friend back then is still my best friend 45 years later. Beyond the Ashes touches upon the POWER of LOVE when folk can forget about their own personal 'feelings' and reach out in LOVE to a desperate and broken person.

Angels unaware often surround us and oh, how beautiful they are when they appear. I think it is a true grace God gave you to have discovered them & the placement under the tree represents the great gift you received. Hugs to you, sweet friend.
