The potted hyacinth flowered brilliantly and unexpectedly during the Christmas week. I had seen no buds or sign of intended flowering. It was huge, golden with a stunning centre. I intended taking a photo but was too busy.
Sadly by the following morning it was gone.
Extreme summer heat and high humidity effected us all and even this flower when the night descended folded up its petals and went to sleep. It’s life was only one brief day but I thank God for its beauty and life.
Two days ago I photographed this again unexpectedly flowering pot plant,. It too is beautiful but a paler more resilient and less dramatic representation of beauty and life.
For ALL life and BEAUTY and for eyes to see it on this mid-week morning we give . thanks
