A weekend Meditative Thought
I have many photos taken through the years on holidays and in various locations. Today I have posted here three. Each one is beautiful in my eyes but possibly very ‘ordinary’ from your perspective.
I remember I showed this picture to a friend. Within a few days she sent me a collection of absolutely beautiful images from around her house. (It is all about perspective). After months of drought I found the forest area dead and dry. Even cacti were shrivelling. I found this life in a small gully where morning mist has gathered. At the time these bush flowers were the most beautiful I had ever seen. They were a glimpse of Hope.
On another occasion after a bushfire – the whole area was destroyed of natural beauty yet, the fire had uncovered something. ‘It’s only a rock’ you may say. On that morning when my heart was sad this picture became for me an image of beauty.
Then the third picture. Drought, and bushfire followed by a few days of rain and the third image is of the forest walk.
Only a simple track. For weeks/ Months/years… it was brown and dead, then burnt and blackened. After rain this picture to me is beautiful. (Other images of beauty in the world lift my heart and I rejoice). This one touches my soul.
A weekend challenge. Look for beauty in your world. Find it in the unexpected. Even the broken or the spilt may have that intrinsic essence of Hope for a better Future.
Find something BEAUTIFUL.
Have a Great weekend!
One’s attitude does make a difference. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. I’m not sure where that quote came from. Sorry. But it is applicable to your message.
