The new born lamb was found by 5 year-old Susan at the bottom of the lower pasture field. No one ever knew what happened to the baby’s mother. The night storm had blown down several trees and fences.
Susan called the baby Lorn because she was found covered by grass and leaves.
With her dad’s help and two visits by the Vet the three-hourly bottle- feeding schedule was undertaken and little Lorn survived.
The child and Susan enjoyed many wonderful play times in the paddock during the summer months and even after school re-commenced the child and the lamb spent a lot of time together.
Years passed and both grew up. Lorn was now a fully grown ewe and Susan a fit teenager who left for time away at college.
After a year Susan could see sheep grazing in the distance and
sadly wondered if she would ever see or know her loved little lamb Lorn.
She shouted at the top of her lungs, ‘LORN! LORN!”
She thought she heard a distant answer, ‘Baa! Baa! .
What she then saw astonished her. A distant white shape began gambolling towards, her then, one, by one, others. Followed.
‘BAAAAAAAAAA!’ Lorn bellowed as Susan climbed over the fence to embrace her.
The entire flock, two rams, ten other ewes and three lambs looked on with wondering eyes.
Had Lorn share with them the story of her rescue?

The story recounted above inspired me. I know it happened in the Southern Hemisphere because of the summer heat etc. I think perhaps in New Zealand.
Anyway, It is a graphic reflection of our following of the Good SHEPHERD.
Do we share of Christ’s salvation with passion To others so they are interested to see, accept and follow HIM THEMSELVES?.
I can attest that I was a lost lamb He rescued. ❤
