Hawaii I think??? Uncertain where or who sent it to me. It is in my Waterfalls File.  This image has always given me a desire to escape and sit on the beach.

Thank you to the one who took the photo.

In every human heart and soul there is an inbuilt longing to escape.

There is this enticing concept fuelled by media and advertising that offers better.

In life we may feel trapped by our circumstances with health, age or responsibilities and lifestyle making this lure even more enticing.     If only…..this or that would change life would be ‘better’.

The Promise of a glorious tomorrow….if only…..A new car.    A beach house.     Another vaccine –  Money…..Fame…..etc etc.

Solutions will never be found permanently by  man-made efforts.

Jesus said John 16:33 ‘In this world you will have troubles but I have overcome the world.   I told you this so that in ME you will have PEACE.

In HIM ALONE.    Your hand in His Hand believers KNOW His Presence is with us.

Also we can rejoice in the O.T. exhortation of the Prophet Isaiah.     Isaiah.40v31     Those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength… They shall mount up with wings like eagles.   They shall run and not be weary.    They shall walk and not faint.

Wait on the LORD.…….Fulfilled in Christ.      In His Presence wait ….. be still in perfect PEACE.

Physical escape from location or circumstances here on earth will only ever be temporary but a ‘heart-change’ and travelling with Jesus brings escape above.    Life from A Heavenly Perspective.

SEAGULLS soaring

Have a brilliant God Day in the midst of it ALL.

About Faye

I m a wife, mother and grandmother. I have always enjoyed writing even from an early age. My book Beyond the Ashes has been written as a labour of love. All the characters are real to me and their story needed to be told. As a Christian my desire is to write General Fiction stories about real people but Hope and a desire for 'better' will always be part of the journey. I have had several short stories published over the years and moderate success in writing competitions. I realized as I was thinking today (30/01/15) that perhaps I should add here that I have had life experiences of many valley times but also many mountain top experiences. I can understand and be beside anyone who finds their life in tatters because I have 'been' there. Of course as I have got older as well there have been the added sorrows of losing not only older family members but also one by one finding the dearest of friends and the ones of greatest support and care also dying. On the site of rich mountains has been my certainty of the value of marriage and how grateful I am that after loss and sadness I made a happy and long-lasting marriage commitment. The one who was my best friend back then is still my best friend 45 years later. Beyond the Ashes touches upon the POWER of LOVE when folk can forget about their own personal 'feelings' and reach out in LOVE to a desperate and broken person.

Hate to disappoint you, Faye, but I’m pretty sure that is a painting.
For amazing views of Hawaii, though, you can always visit https://beachhouse.blog/ for something to whet your appetite for beaches. ❤️&🙏, c.a.

I am spending my day with you (in this cyber-space) and this is a beautiful post to meditate upon, Faye! I have been absent from the cyber-world which has connected us, spending some time alone mending my heart, but His presence has been my sustenance. Your post is a wonderful reflection of His constant presence – no matter the mountain or valley we traverse at the time – He is always there. And in Him we will always find the comfort & care which is needed. Hugs to you for being His reflection of love on a somewhat broken world.
