Our daughter left a legacy of love for a little dog, her family and all who knew her. Charlee’s response to her memorial left images we continue to value.
We must ALL treasure our memories but not live in the past.
As Christians we must travel onwards giving thanks for every day and being ever worshipful to the ONE who came to save our souls.
His legacy and the sacrifice He made to give us ABUNDANT LIFE means our daily goals should include reading of the Word, and conversation with Him in prayer.
Our legacy for the future should be not about us but a tribute to our Lord so others following will desire to know Him too.
Isn’t that a great end of life goal.
Not concern about our failing abilities but a determination to leave behind evidences of His Presence with us and in us.. (According to what we have to still use.)
Beauty and love in how we use our pens, our speech and the appreciation we express for what is valuable and truly praiseworthy in nature and the art, music and contributions of those around us is important. Also, from ones in the past!
Other people and society around us yell out loudly and stridently their ‘must achieve’ but we who love the Saviour must LIVE for what is ETERNAL and not goal towards idols which will all one day pass away.
Continue to enjoy life with HIM our Redeemer LORD, and leave a legacy of HOPE to all who follow.
Have a truly Blessed Lord’s Day remembrance and I pray Word with Worship
Grace in abundance and Peace with assurance you are loved.
Beautiful words. Wonderful memories. Glory to our God!

Faye, this is a beautifully written reflection. One of your finest! Every word resonates in my heart and it is beautiful to have your daughter’s memory enveloped around it all. Thank you for taking the time to pen this piece for all of us to read, but more importantly the way you live it out loud for all to see. My dearest hugs & blessings for you and sweet Charlee. 😘
