Good Morning!
Therefore. we do not lose heart, Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day…So, we fix our eyes on NOT what is seen, but what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary but what is UNSEEN is eternal. (2Cor 4-16 NIV)
In this fractured society can we, as blood-bought children, keep our eyes focussed UPWARDS – journey with HIM- and glimpse the unseen world through the eyes of a child?
This is a thought to prayerfully ponder.
When I was a little girl, with limited understanding of God, and no knowledge of a spirit world, I saw angels in a dark corner of an old church. There was a bright light and they ( Spirit beings winged and ethereal) were worshipping and praying
Adults who heard my childish cry of JOY peered into the corner where I pointed. They saw nothing! I was cautioned to be quiet and my mother urged to teach me about imagination.
I knew what I had SEEN and my life of searching for a God who was all things; Heavenly, earthly and spiritually, began. I was forever cautious about what I again shared.
In the Bible I found my answer.
I learned the warnings about pursuing only spiritual things and focussing on that which was eternal.
My answer came with our TRIUNE GOD who is indeed SO BIG His influence is in ALL areas.
Yet, on a Cross He came as Saviour for ALL.
I AM THE WAY. FOLLOW ME!
What u n s e e n things of beauty will be ours to see if we keep living, walking, loving Christ, following in His Way with our looking UPWARDS.
Grace! Peace! and Love! to you.
Such wistful words, Faye. Our hearts ache to share the things which really matter, don’t they? It is sad that our earthly realm limits our expressions – but oh, glorious day – when we can shout our joy out loud, together, in our heavenly home! Hugs to you for touching our hearts with the feathers of the angels you saw!
